VentiGuard is EmCore’s most advanced personal protective equipment that provides solutions to respiratory infection risks. It contains two stages of all-inclusive EmCore air filtration system, which clears odour, at least 99.97% of particles with a size of 0.3 microns, bacterial pollutants, and virus with the following filtration system: an active carbon filter, serving as a pre-filter and the antimicrobial-coated core HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) air filter.
A VentiGuard prototype design has been developed. The VentiGuard series is also designated to be embedded with EmTernet, an Internet of Things (IoT) based system, which includes the functionalisation of the smart respiratory system. Smart functions would include intelligent filter monitoring, user-health monitoring, infection risk assessment, automatic breath assessment, automatic breath monitoring and selective purification mode. Such functions would allow VentiGuard to provide both a secure, intelligent and comfortable breathing experience for our customers, as well as valuable infection control data for clinical purposes.
