A micro-nanopore-structured multifunctional covalent organic framework separator for high-performance pouch lithium sulfur batteries
Separators in lithium sulfur batteries using multifunctional covalent organic framework (COF) with adjustable nanopores were judiciously designed, targeting the selective transportation of polysulfides. This significantly improves battery performance, especially under external stimuli, like light, heat or acids and bases. Ultimately, lithium sulfur pouch cells are expected to be achieved with the COF-based separators upon optimised stimuli.
