This project will integrate 3S technologies (RS, GPS, GIS), machine-learning models, the Internet of Things (IoT) and digital twin techniques to track and account for real-time ‘point source’ GHG emissions data. Firstly, we will build a personal or company inventory database that represents an accurate and fair account of their CO2 emissions. Then we will develop a standardised accreditation approach to quantify a carbon quota and allowance management protocol by enabling front-end carbon emissions standards, principles and criteria. Based on these steps, a carbon rating scheme can be integrated into the carbon finance market and provide benchmarking criteria and accounting standards for carbon credits, carbon insurance and carbon financial products. Finally, we will develop a digital twin platform that supports a carbon tax, carbon trading, carbon insurance and carbon offset.
