Deep learning-based synthesis of brain vasculature from routine MRI scan for advanced screening of cerebrovascular disease
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has become an indispensable tool for clinicians to visualise the internal structure and dynamics of the human body. Different types of routine MRI scans, categorised by acquisition parameters, usually reveal the body’s anatomy. However, advanced MRI techniques such as Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA), developed for the definitive diagnosis of cerebrovascular diseases, reveal features of the vasculature. This project will use an artificial intelligence-based tool to bridge the gap between normal and advanced MRI scans.
