Novel Online Serial Mobile Game to Increase the Resilience of Young People
Conversation-based psychotherapy is currently the most common method for treating mental health problems, but its limitations of low accessibility and attraction have resulted in a low treatment rate among young people. An increasing number of young people are in need of mental health interventions, especially during the COVID-19 period. However, there isn’t a therapeutic mobile game to increase the treatment rate of young people who have anxiety and depression in Hong Kong and mainland China.
Thus the project team aims to create accessible and attractive evidence-based therapeutic mobile games with gamified intervention modules to help young people reduce anxiety and depression.
