TailorLab has been developing a website and mobile platform for online sportswear buyers to make it easy to choose suitable sportswear and improve their online shopping experience.
Sportswear performance is closely related to the materials and manufacturing process, and normally the life span is short, so consumers buy sportswear frequently. There is strong market demand for online sportswear shopping; currently, we are focusing on the Hong Kong market.
In one survey, the majority of online sportswear buyers said they found it difficult to determine the composition, functionality, and washing effects of clothing materials; and in some cases, the size and appearance do not match the product description.
Our platform will provide a material analysis report from lab tests and build a database, with all concerns about the materials from interviewees included. A large database will facilitate 3D model simulation using machine learning and 3D scanning to allow users to try on clothes virtually. With these functions, we will optimise existing virtual fitting models to reduce high trial-and-error costs for online sportswear shoppers.
