CityUHK researchers have won 33 awards at the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva (IEIG), held in Switzerland, from 9 to 13 April, including 1 Special Prize, 5 Gold Medals with Congratulations of the Jury, 9 Gold Medals, 16 Silver Medals, and 2 Bronze Medals. The recognition is a testament to CityUHK’s global leadership in innovation and #research excellence.
Notably, the “PRISTINZ Anti-thermal Glass” project, led by Professor Freddy Boey, President of CityUHK, and Professor Goh Chin Foo, Director of Knowledge Transfer Office, has earned both the Special Prize and Gold Medal.
Among CityUHK’s victorious teams at the 50th IEIG, ten are start-ups and teams nurtured by CityUHK’s HK Tech 300, the university’s innovation and entrepreneurship programme. They secured 2 Gold Medals with Congratulations of the Jury, 1 Gold Medal, and 7 Silver Medals, showcasing the power of CityUHK’s innovation ecosystem.
