Concordia, CityU sign exchange agreement

CityU has added yet another university, Concordia University of Montreal, Canada, to the list of educational institutions with which it has signed exchange agreements.
Dr Lowy said that Concordia welcomed the exchange agreement with CityU and said he hoped the two universities would continue to develop their collaboration together. Professor Chang pointed out to the Concordia delegation that the spirit of exchange between Montreal and CityU already runs deep. Professor Chang studied and taught at McGill University. "And I was taught French in 1959 by a Father from Loyola [now part of Concordia]," he said.
Besides Professor Chang, the CityU delegation at the ceremony included Professor Edmond Ko, Vice-President for Education and Dean of Students, Professor Y S Wong, Vice-President for Institutional Advancement, Professor Matthew Chen, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professor C H Chan, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Mrs Diana Ying, Associate Vice-President for Institutional Advancement and Director of Academic Exchange Office, and Ms Helen Lam, Executive Officer in the Academic Exchange Office.Ten CityU students have already been selected to participate in the exchange programme with Concordia in the 2002-03 academic year. Among the issues discussed at the meeting, the College and its Concordia counterpart are exploring the possibility of future collaboration in articulation programmes.
