Celebrating Diwali at CityU

The Diwali festival was celebrated at the Student Residence at City University of Hong Kong on the evening of 6 November.
Diwali, the Hindu “festival of lights”, is one of the most popular cultural events in Hindu communities worldwide.
Around 250 participants, including students, graduates, Dr Raymond Chan Kwok-hong, Dean of Students, and Ms Rebecca Chan Po-yu, Director of the Student Residence Office, contributed to this wonderful night event.
Students dressed in traditional Indian clothing and lit candles. Traditional Indian dances, hip-hop, live guitar music, singing, and a quiz kept participants entertained.
The Festival was co-sponsored by the Student Residence Office and the Mainland and External Affairs Office.
