A delegation from the Hong Kong Professionals and Senior Executives Association (HKPSEA) learned about the latest developments at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) during a visit on 23 January.

Among the 20 delegates were Mr Edmund Leung Kwong-hom and Mr Patrick Lau Lai-chiu, both of whom are Vice-Presidents at HKPSEA. They were joined by Mr Sunny Lee Wai-kwong, Vice-President (Administration) at CityU.

The visit began in the Chinese Garden and then proceeded to the advanced teaching facilities in Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre (CMC).

At the CMC, via the 3D, 360-degree panoramic projection technology produced by the School of Creative Media, the visitors experienced the exquisite artwork found in the Mogao Grottoes at Dunhuang in northeast China and the wonders of Hampi, which is a UNESCO world heritage site found in central India. They also toured the student hostel before concluding the visit.

After the tour, Professor Matthew Lee Kwok-on, Vice-President (Development & External Relations) of CityU, introduced CityU’s latest developments to the visitors at a lunch hosted for them.

Professor Lee thanked HKPASEA for its dedication to encouraging professionals and senior executives in Hong Kong to communicate with their mainland and international counterparts.Their efforts would help to enhance the development of Hong Kong and the country, he said.

He also spoke about how CityU’s objectives aligned with those of HKPSEA especially in terms of the recruitment of worldwide talent and strengthening coordination and connections with global partners.

In fact, in accordance with one of the strategic themes contained in CityU’s Strategic Plan for 2015–2020, CityU was providing more places for exchanges and overseas internship programmes.

Other luncheon participants from CityU included Professor Horace Ip Ho-shing, Vice-President (Student Affairs), Professor Paul Lam Kwan-sing, Chief-of-Staff, Dr Raymond Chan Kwok-hong, Acting Director of Communications & Public Relations and Dean of Students, and Ms Kathy Chan Yin-ling, Associate Vice-President (Development and Alumni Relations).
