Approximately 70 secondary school students visit CityUHK.

City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) is celebrating its 30th Anniversary with a series of activities that bring together faculty, students and alumni for joyful celebrations. Some of these activities extend into the community to foster a sense of togetherness and share the University’s development milestones. The CityUHK 30th Anniversary Short Film Competition welcomes participation from secondary school students in Hong Kong and other Greater Bay Area cities to deepen their understanding of the University and promote creativity, collaboration and innovation.

On 3 July, CityUHK arranged a visit for approximately 70 secondary school students. They explored various facilities, including the State Key Laboratory of Terahertz and Millimeter Waves, the Department of Media and Communication, the School of Creative Media, and the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences’ Clinical Skills Laboratory. The aim of the campus tour was to inspire their creative ideas by deepening their understanding of CityUHK and to foster their desire for higher education development in Hong Kong.

The competition is divided into two categories: the CityUHK Group and Secondary Student Group. Each category offers a range of awards and prizes to encourage the teams. Registration is now open; the submission deadline for entries is 31 August 2024.
