CityUHK’s JUPAS Consultation Day empowers over 1,000 students to plan for their academic future

City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) hosted its JUPAS Consultation Day 2025 on 17 May, drawing more than 1,000 HKDSE candidates and parents to the campus. The visitors actively engaged in admission talks, one-on-one consultation sessions, and a variety of interactive activities designed to provide them with a deeper understanding of CityUHK’s programmes and admission strategies for the upcoming JUPAS programme reprioritisation.
The Consultation Day offered over 50 engaging activities, including 33 programme talks, 11 consultation sessions, campus and facility tours, and sharing sessions with current students and alumni. The activities provided attendees with a comprehensive view of CityUHK’s academic excellence and its diverse, international campus life.

The event began with a keynote talk delivered by Professor Alan Wan Tze-kin, Associate Provost (Academic Affairs), and Dr Lam Chun-mo, Director of the Admissions Office. The session drew a full house, with Dr Lam providing an in-depth overview of the latest JUPAS arrangements and offering practical tips and strategies to enhance students’ chances of gaining admission to their preferred programmes.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of CityUHK’s nine Flagship Programmes: Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine, BBA Global Business, Global Research Enrichment and Technopreneurship, BSocSc Psychology (Stream: Wellbeing Enhancement and Care Management (WE-CARE) Programme), Creative Arts and Technology Excellence, Data Empowerment: Learn, Transform and Achieve, International Sustainability Programme for Innovation, Research and Entrepreneurship, Bachelor of Laws, and Pathway for Research, Innovation, and Multinational Engineering. These programmes reflect CityUHK’s vision to nurturing leadership, research skills and innovative thinking among its students.
CityUHK also announced updates to its Flagship Scholarship Scheme for the 2025/26 academic year. The scheme offers full or half coverage of tuition and accommodation, guaranteed hall residence, and a one-off overseas exchange sponsorship of up to HK$500,000. The scholarship also provides a direct pathway to postgraduate studies, including PhD programmes in Science and Engineering or the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws. Awardees may spend a full academic year at a top-tier university, such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Imperial College London, the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, Cornell University, the University of Toronto and Columbia University.

Attendees also had the opportunity to explore CityUHK’s new campus landmark, the "Tunnel of Future Innovations", experiencing its immersive digital interactive platform. Serving as a bridge between the University and the wider community, the tunnel showcases CityUHK’s digital transformation and commitment to innovation.
