A high-level delegation from CityUHK, led by Council Chairman Mr Michael Ngai, along with Secretary to the Council and Vice-President (Talent and International Strategy, visited Kuwait and Kazakhstan from 13 to 17 May to explore strategic partnerships in higher education and research with countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.

Professor Wang Jianping, Dean of the College of Computing, and her team at CityUHK discussed the integration of generative artificial intelligence in enhancing APEC’s Asia-Pacific Information Platform on Food Security at the APEC forum in Gyeongju, South Korea.

CityUHK held its first-ever STEM Career Fair 2025 on 17 January. 71 companies across 16 industries participated in the fair, offering over 3,300 job opportunities for students. It encouraged students to explore their career aspiration and learn about the latest industry trends, and provided an excellent platform for employers to engage with budding talent in the realm of computing, energy and environment, engineering, science and technology.

A delegation from the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China visited CityUHK on 30 October. The two sides exchanged views on the latest developments in various fields, such as technology and innovation, and explored opportunities for strengthening cooperation, including CityUHK’s participation in the construction of the National Centre of Technology Innovation.
