Over 120 Strive and Rise alumni, government officials, academic leaders and industry experts explored the future development of youth innovation and entrepreneurship pathways during the “Venture into Your Future @ CityUHK cum CityU TechVenture Series Seminar” co-hosted by CityUHK, the Strive and Rise Alumni Club and the Grace Yu Ho Wun Youth Development Fund in May.

CityUHK and Southeast University have entered a new phase of academic collaboration. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on strengthening academic exchanges and establishing joint research centres and signed two MoUs.

Professor Luk Kwai-man, Chair Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering of CityUHK, was honoured with the 2025 IEEE AP-S Chen-To Tai Distinguished Educator Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions in the education of antenna theory, design and applications.

The HK Tech 300 Expo was held from 23 to 24 May, bringing together about 300 start-ups incubated by CityUHK with more than 60 roadshows, demonstrating how the University’s world-class research achievements and innovative ideas translate into practical applications that foster positive social changes.

A high-level delegation from CityUHK, led by Council Chairman Mr Michael Ngai, along with Secretary to the Council and Vice-President (Talent and International Strategy, visited Kuwait and Kazakhstan from 13 to 17 May to explore strategic partnerships in higher education and research with countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.

The launch of the “Tunnel of Future Innovations” on 21 May was marked by Hong Kong’s first-ever tunnel fashion show, featuring interactive digital experiences. This initiative bridges local roots with global reach, showcasing Hong Kong’s creative flair and cultural vibrancy as an international tourism hub.
