By harnessing the internet, the School of Law is bringing the wisdom of world-class law professors to its students on campus. On 19 February, it held a pilot virtual seminar in conjuction with Yale Law School, a first for both universities.

CityU is holding its 2006 Congregation from 9 to 17 November. This year, the University has produced 9,178 graduates through its provision of quality professional education, including 2,654 associate degrees conferred by the Community College.

CityU held the "Welcoming Ceremony of the Student Orientation 2006" from 29 to 31 August under the theme "From Student to Professional" for new students.

This year sees at least five of CityU's graduates continuing their studies or starting teaching at UK's Oxford University and Cambridge University.

A graduation ceremony was held on 23 July on CityU campus for graduates of the Master of Law (LLM) programme offered by CityU and Renmin University of China (Renmin U) which aims to nurture a new breed of specialists on the mainland legal system.
