CityUHK has introduced four Flagship Programmes with an enticing scholarship scheme for the 2024/25 academic year to empower students with vital knowledge and skills, cultivate their global leadership abilities, and connect them with leading professionals. One of the Flagship Programmes is Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine. Monica Chan Hiu-man, a Year 6 student and Kim Yoo-lim, a Year 2 student shared their learning experiences.
"CityUHK PetPower" was held on campus by the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences at CityUHK to celebrate the power of human–animal bonds with a variety of engaging activities.
The first Graduation Gala of CityU's BVM was held on 28 October. With the recent attainment of direct accreditation from both the RCVS and the AVBC, all 11 BVM graduates of the leading cohort completed registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Hong Kong and obtained their license to practise as veterinary surgeons.
Four students from CityU won the Innovation and Technology Scholarship 2021, receiving HK$150,000 each for activities including overseas exchange, local internship and mentorship programmes.
