Biography
King-Ning TU
Professor TU King-Ning is the Chair Professor of Materials and Electrical Engineering of the City University of Hong Kong. Professor Tu received his BSc degree from National Taiwan University, MSc degree from Brown University, and PhD degree on applied physics from Harvard University in 1968. Professor Tu has been the TSMC Chair Professor and E. Sun Scholar of National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan.
Feng WANG
Prof. WANG Feng obtained his BE (2001) and PhD (2006) degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University. His PhD thesis was focused on the synthesis and characterization of lanthanide-doped fluoride nanomaterials under the supervision of Prof. Minquan Wang and Prof. Xianping Fan. He then carried out postdoctoral research work with Prof. Xiaogang Liu at the National University of Singapore and the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering in Singapore. He joined the faculty of City University of Hong Kong in 2012.
Zhenbin WANG
Prof. Zhenbin WANG obtained his BEng and MEng degrees from the Harbin Institute of Technology and the University of Science and Technology of China in 2011 and 2014, respectively. He earned his Ph.D. in NanoEngineering from the University of California, San Diego, in 2018, where he was honored with the Chancellor's Dissertation Medal, Gareth Thomas Materials Excellence Award, and Henry Booker Prize. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Catalysis Theory Center of the Technical University of Denmark before joining CityU.

Tao YANG
Prof. Yang is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering in City University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on the innovative design and fabrication of advanced metallic materials for structural and functional applications, including the high-entropy alloys, intermetallic materials, high-temperature superalloys, deep cryogenic alloys and electrocatalysis materials.
Angus H L YIP
Prof. Angus Yip joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) and the School of Energy and Environmental (SEE) at CityU as a Professor in 2021. He started his academic career as a Professor in the State Key Laboratory of Luminescent Materials and Devices (SKLLMD) and the School of Materials Science and Engineering at South China University of Technology (SCUT), Guangzhou in 2013.
Chee Yoon YUE
Biography
Prof Yue was named in the World’s Top 2% Scientist in 2022 and 2023 by Clarivate Analytics. His primary research activities are in materials science and engineering encompassing: nanocomposites, polymer science and engineering, adhesion science and technology, polymer blends, fibre reinforced composites, microfluidic devices, and 3D printing materials. His citations and H-index based on Scopus are 7042 and 45 respectively. In external research grants, he won over S$7.8M as Principal Investigator (PI) and S$11.6M as co-PI.
