Application Procedures and Details

1. Students are required to fill out an online application form here.
2. Students concerned will receive an email with the attachment of the filled application form. Please submit the form together with a photocopy of their academic transcript(s) for previous academic qualifications obtained, to the coordinating offices of their home institutions for endorsement. Applications without the home institution's endorsement would not be processed.
3. If an applicant has outstanding fees/payments with CityUHK, he/she should settle the outstanding fees/payments in full before being allowed to enrol in the course(s).
4. Applications for courses NOT on the above lists will NOT be accepted for processing.
5. Late applications should be submitted with written approvals (email approvals are also accepted) from the course examiner and the Head of the course offering department.  Otherwise, the application will NOT be processed.

Course Registration

• Students will be officially registered for the course and are required to participate fully in the course, which includes completion of coursework and an examination, if applicable. Students should observe the rules and regulations prescribed by CityUHK during course registration.
• Students will not be issued the CityUHK student identity card. An approval letter will be issued for identification purposes in class or during the examination.
• Successful applicants are advised to apply for a Joint University Librarians Advisory Committee (JULAC) Library Card from their home institution to access CityUHK’s Library.
• Requests for withdrawal from a course should be submitted on or before the University’s course add/drop deadline. Late applications will normally not be entertained.

Academic Calendar and Examination

1. There are normally 13 teaching weeks in a semester. The teaching weeks and examination periods for the academic year 2024/25 are as follows:

2. Students will be informed of the examination timetable and related details normally one month before the start of the examination period by email.
3. The study under this Scheme will not lead to a degree or other awards from CityUHK. Upon completion of a course, an academic report will be sent to the students via their home institution. Students may also apply for an academic transcript according to the University's procedures.
