I. e-Certification for Graduates (via AIMS) 
[from Class of 2014]

e-Certification is a web-based system developed by CityUHK to enable employers, employment agencies and educational institutions to verify electronically the academic award(s) obtained by a Research Postgraduate / Professional Doctorate / Master's (Taught Postgraduate) / Bachelor’s / Associate Degree holder (for Class of 2014 onwards).

By using the system, a graduate can generate and share a secured, direct CityUHK URL, and the e-Certificate image (for Class of 2022 onwards), at his/her discretion, to a third party for verification of his/her award details. The information is encrypted with an access code provided by the graduate to the designated viewer(s) to ensure confidentiality.

e-Certificate images will normally be available on the system two weeks from the graduation date.

How to Access Through AIMS

For Current Students (with award(s) obtained from 2014 onwards)

1. Login to AIMS with your EID and password
2. Select the Student Record menu
3. Click e-Certification for Graduates
4. Generate and get the secured URL for sharing according to the instructions

For Alumni

1. Login to AIMS with your EID and password
2. Select the Alumni Services menu
3. Click e-Certification for Graduates
4. Generate and get the secured URL for sharing according to the instructions

II. Academic Certificate Verification Platform (ACVP)
[from Class of 2024]

The Academic Certificate Verification Platform (ACVP) is a common and trusted platform in blockchain technology for verifying academic certificates issued by higher education institutions in Hong Kong. It is a supplementary platform to the AIMS e-certification mentioned above and is implemented and operated by the Joint Universities Computer Centre. ACVP serves as a central hub where graduates in various professional or academic endeavours can securely grant access to educational employers or further study institutions to verify their academic credentials. Sharing can be done simply through a link, a QR code, or a PDF file.

e-Certificate images will normally be available on the ACVP platform two weeks from the graduation date.

How to use ACVP

1. Visit the official ACVP website and choose “Login”;
2. Select “City University of Hong Kong” from the options;
3. Enter your CityUHK EID and password; 
4. Read the Terms of Conditions carefully; 
5. Give consent to use the ACVP and
6. Generate a URL, a QR code or download the PDF file of your award certificate to share with a third party.
