Joint Bachelor's Degree Programme with The University of Edinburgh
About the Programme
The Joint Bachelor's Degree Programme collaborates with the School of Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh (UoE) to offer students an international undergraduate experience. UoE is one of the world’s top universities with consistently high rankings. Its entrepreneurial and cross-disciplinary culture attracts the highest quality students from across the globe, creating a unique and global study environment.
Selected students will study at CityUHK for the first two years, and then complete a further two years of study at UoE. On successful completion of the 4th year at UoE, students will be awarded two separate bachelor's degrees: one conferred by CityUHK and one by UoE upon fulfilling the degree requirements stipulated by the respective universities.

Majors available at the University of Edinburgh
The programme allows you to enter into the 3rd year of the following majors:
Eligibility
- Full-time normative four-year programme students majoring in Computing Mathematics
- Completed at least 63 credit units by the end of second year at CityUHK. Completed credits must include courses specified by the College of Science and Department of Mathematics
- A minimum CGPA of 3.0 or above
English Language Requirement
Applicants from City University of Hong Kong are exempted from this requirement.

International tuition fee for 2025 entry is ￡24,500 per year.

Scholarship from City University of Hong Kong
Dr Herman Hu Scholarships for Joint Degree Programmes (SFA ID: 1511)
Dr Herman Hu Shao-ming has set up a scholarship scheme in CityUHK to encourage and recognize outstanding undergraduates participating in the Joint Bachelor’s Degree Programmes. Students will be invited to apply for the scholarship after being admitted to the University of Edinburgh. Availability of scholarship for 2025 entry is to be confirmed.

Successfully enrolled students are eligible for a ￡3,500 scholarship per year from the School of Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh.
Application for 2025 Entry
Please submit the below materials to the College of Science Office (G5351, YEUNG) on or before 5:30pm, 24 January 2025.
1) Completed application form
2) Copy of your high school transcript(s) and any public examination results eg. HKDSE, Gaokao
3) Copy of your most recent grade display from AIMS
Students should apply in their second year at CityUHK and shortlisted students will be invited for the selection interviews.
