

Co-organized by CityUHK Industrial and Business Leaders Circle and Group 26 (Environmental Industries Council) of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, the Sharing Session on Talent Development was held successfully on 15 March.
During which the industry professionals and participating guests had fruitful exchanges on upcoming plans and explored cooperation opportunities.Representatives from the CityUHK’s College of Engineering, College of Science and School of Energy and Environment gave a brief introduction on the University’s latest talent development schemes. It shed light on exploring how cross-sector collaborations across the industry, academia, and research institutions could facilitate employers’ recruitment plan in identifying suitable talent. It also discussed how to enhance students and graduates’ employment competitiveness to fulfil society’s demand for professionals.
Members of the Second Steering Committee of the CityUHK Industrial and Business Leaders Circle, led by Dr Joseph Lee, Convenor of the Committee, were briefed on the latest development of CityUHK and discussed the advancement strategy of the Leaders Circle at the lunch hosted by Professor Matthew Lee, Vice-President (Development and External Relations), on 14 May 2018. The Members visited the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory and Innovation Commons after the lunch to understand the resources that the University has invested in developing its veterinary medicine and incubating students’ creativity and entrepreneurship.
Dr Siu Kar-cheung, Chairman of Kaiping Cuishanhu Chamber of Commerce, and Ms Feng Xiao-yan, Chairlady of Kaiping Female Entrepreneur Association, led the delegations of 52 members to visit CityUHK on 22 September 2017. The delegation received an update on the university development and visited the Run Run Shaw Library, Gateway Education Laboratory, CLP Power Low Carbon Energy Education Centre and “Sincerely Yours: Personal Letters of Tsinghua Scholars” Exhibition.
