To strengthen the bonding between undergraduate students, mentors and teachers, the College of Science (CSCI) organised a networking BBQ at Ma On Shan on 22 March 2025. Before having fun at the BBQ, the group were offered a tour of CityUHK’s brand-new Student Residence, Lee Shau Kee Student Residence Village at Whitehead.
The relaxing afternoon began with visiting the new Student Residence at Whitehead, Ma On Shan. About 40 attendees explored the cosy living spaces designed to support students’ University life. Then, all participants walked together to the nearby BBQ site with beautiful seaside views. They all indulged in an array of delicious food and laughter there, strengthening existing connections and forming new ones. Students gained valuable insights from mentors and CSCI faculty members, while mentors and staff got to know more about the students’ university lives.
This vibrant event highlighted the importance of fostering a supportive community where the students, mentors, and teachers can know each other’s thoughts and exchange views freely, at the same time creating opportunities for personal growth.
Thank you to every attendee who made this event a success.
