JUPAS Consultation Day 2025 was successfully held on May 17. The College of Science (CSCI) has attracted more than 200 participants who visited our booths and attended admission talks.
We are happy to meet HKDSE students who are interested in science programmes at the CSCI’s, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics departments’ booths. Besides obtaining the latest undergraduate programmes updates, some visitors also chatted with our current students at the booths to learn more about our course offerings and the student life at CityUHK.
In the four series of CSCI programme admission talks, Programme Leaders and Admission Tutors introduced their respective JUPAS programmes and answered enquiries about the admission scores, interview tips, JUPAS banding strategies, career prospects and entrance scholarships. HKDSE students and their parents also obtained first-hand information about our internships and overseas student exchange opportunities when our current students and graduates shared their recent learning experiences and stories at CityUHK.
This year, a guided lab tour named “Journey of Exploring University Chemical Instrumentation” was also arranged by our Department of Chemistry. In the 45-minute tour, our faculty member and the laboratory technicians briefly introduced the usage of different research-related equipment, including the scanning electron microscope. The tour ended at the Aquatic Science Laboratory conserving the horseshoe crabs, where the participants had a glimpse of the habits and life-threatening crisis the crabs face.
