Congratulations to the three recipients of the CityU Outstanding Research Award 2022 from the College of Science! The Awards will be presented at the coming College Commencement.

Applying knowledge learnt in university to help the needy is meaningful. Mr. Alvin Wijaya, a fresh graduate of the Department of Mathematics achieved this and completed the CityU X Sino Grand Challenges Scholars Program (CityU X Sino GCSP) in May 2022 with Gold Award under the patronage of Sino Group.

Professor Philippe G. Ciarlet, University Distinguished Professor in the College of Science, and Professor Tai-Chu Lau, Chair Professor of Department of Chemistry, have been conferred the title of Emeritus Professor upon retirement on 1 July 2022 in recognition of their distinguished contributions to education, research and professional services during their service at the University.

Six students from the College of Science have been admitted to the Joint Bachelor’s Degree Programme for entry in the 2022/23 academic year.

CityU Science Garners Four Awards at Inventions Geneva Evaluation Days 2022 Researchers at CityU College of Science shined at the Inventions Geneva Evaluation Days (IGED) 2022 by winning a total of 4 awards, including three Silver Medals and one Bronze Medal. Their success demonstrates the College’s excellence in research and innovation.

Programme delegates met with prospective students for the College’s taught postgraduate programmes online, at a live information session held on 12 January 2022.
