In the afternoon of 14 May, the College of Science (CSCI) received 33 secondary school visitors, including 31 Form 3 students and 2 class teachers from HKSYCIA Wong Tai Shan Memorial College.
JUPAS Consultation Day 2025 was successfully held on May 17. The College of Science (CSCI) has attracted more than 200 participants who visited our booths and attended admission talks.
Beating the strong teams, three F.3 girls from St. Stephen’s Girls’ College crowned the Gold Award at the Final Pitch of the CityUHK Science Patent Challenge 2024- 25 held on 15 February. This year’s Gold and Silver Award-winning teams observed the needs of the elderly and patients respectively, and tried to utilise technology to enhance their quality of life.
Sixteen students from the College of Science (CSCI) have recently taken on the rewarding role of science teachers at Tseung Kwan O Government Secondary School: delivering engaging science lessons to Form 2 students. This innovative teaching scheme has not only benefited the secondary students but has also provided valuable teaching experience for CSCI students, enhancing their educational journey.
Over 190 teams of secondary school students participated in the College of Science’s CityUHK Science Video Competition 2024 by submitting videos that explain scientific principles or phenomena. Under intense competition, the judging panel selected 2 Gold Awards, 3 Silver Awards, and 4 Bronze Awards.
Nearly 40 secondary school teachers and students joined the CityUHK Science Patent Challenge 2024-25 intellectual property workshop on 19 October 2024, co-organised by the Office of the Provost and Deputy President and the College of Science (CSCI).
