CityUHK and See Change Education recently co-organised the Global Conference Leadership Camp and the SCMUN Conference at the University to allow participating students to experience the learning atmosphere of one of the world’s most international universities.

CityUHK is dedicated to fostering inspirational, interactive and innovative learning for the younger generation. About 60 F.5 and F.6 students from over 30 secondary schools joined a two-day experiential camp organised by CityUHK from 23 to 24 July.

CityUHK research team collaborated with mainland cross-institutional and cross-disciplinary teams to develop a single-cell screening/selection system (BLASTO-chip), which can achieve automatic high-throughput, label-free selection of sperm, bringing hope to patients with asthenozoospermia, an infertility condition in which a man produces sperm with low motility.

Six outstanding scholars from CityUHK have been awarded funding from the RGC under the 2024/25 Senior Research Fellow Scheme and Research Fellow Scheme, receiving a total of over HK$42 million.

CityUHK President Professor Freddy Boey led a delegation to Qingdao and met with officials from the Huangdao District on 2 August. The two parties signed an agreement to establish the CityUHK Innovation Centre in Qingdao’s West Coast New Area.
