CityUHK’s CLASS hosted the ‘Youth Leader Training Series – “Politics and Public Administration” Class Opening and MoU Signing Ceremony’ in collaboration with the HKUYA, with an aim to explore possibilities for promoting the future development of Hong Kong's youth and society.

CityUHK participated in the 29th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Baku, Azerbaijan, between 14 and 16 November. On November 15, CityUHK signed an MoU with the United Nations Trade and Development to promote sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region and the rest of the world.

CLASS hosted a signature event, titled “CityUHK as a Sino-Foreign Cultural Exchange Hub – from Sham Shui Po to the World”, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of CityUHK on 18 October. Hundreds of guests, CityUHK faculty members and students exchanged insights and discussed the past and future roadmap of Hong Kong as a Sino-Foreign cultural exchange hub.

On 15 July, CityUHK and POLIMI GSoM signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen academic ties between the two institutions.

The life and legacy of famed Italian merchant and traveller Marco Polo is celebrated at CityUHK in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Hong Kong and Macau and the Consulate General of Italy in Hong Kong.

The College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences of CityU hosted a seminar on 12 September in collaboration with the Youth of Guangzhou and Hong Kong Association, featuring distinguished guest speaker Professor Justin Lin Yifu, former Senior Vice President of the World Bank and Dean of the Institute of New Structural Economics at Peking University.

Professor Christine Huang Yi-hui, Chair Professor of Communication and Media at CityU, spoke at the latest talk in the President's Lecture Series, where she discussed the role and importance of trust and culture in strategic communication research.
