Four leading members of the business and professional communities have been appointed by the Chief Executive to the CityU Council for a term of three years.

CityU expressed its gratitude to its donors, including philanthropists, businessmen, industrialists, staff and alumni at a dinner on 23 November.

CityU is holding its 2006 Congregation from 9 to 17 November. This year, the University has produced 9,178 graduates through its provision of quality professional education, including 2,654 associate degrees conferred by the Community College.

The distinguished film maker Mr Zhang Yimou will receive an Honorary Doctor of Letters at CityU's 2005 Congregation, to be held from 8 to 11 and 15 to 16 November. Honorary doctorates will also be conferred on three other distinguished individuals.
On 25 October, Dr Dennis Sun, Chairman of the Community Relations Committee, met CityU staff and students to share his life experience.
