Young writers now have an invaluable opportunity to have their works reviewed by renowned writers and poets such as Mr Chang Ta-chuen, Mr Bei Dao, Mr Yang Ze and Mr Yang Zhao by participating in the annual City Literary Awards organised by CityU.

More than 100 university students gathered at CityU for the Student Leadership Conference 2009. The theme of the conference, running from 1 to 6 June, was “University education and employability”.

CityU sports team claimed unprecedented grand slams in two consecutive years, receiving the overall championship titles in both men and women divisions from the University Sports Federation of Hong Kong, China.

The Public Administration Society of the CityU Students' Union has organised the Public Administration Festival running in March and April to arouse student interest in public affairs.

The first Eco-tour Design Competition of CityU concluded at an award ceremony held on 7 April. The Ma Wan eco-tour designed by Priscilla Ho and Terry Choi, students of the Department of Information Systems, received the champion.
