Achievements of our Judge-graduates

- Judge Zhang Guo Feng (JSD 2012 Cohort)
Judge Zhang has been promoted from a senior judge in Anhui Higher People’s Court (previously Member of the Judicial Committee of the High People's Court) to Deputy Director of Anhui Provincial Public Security Bureau. This is a different kind of career development and it shows that our graduate can utilise their legal knowledge in different fields of work.
- Judge Guo Ling Chuan (JSD 2012 Cohort) Judge Guo Ling Chuan participated in the 2019 Provincial “Hundred Days Competition” that was organized by the courts in Liaoning province. He was placed third in Administrative Law (Compensation). This is a very impressive achievement indeed.
- Zhao Guilong (JSD 2016 Cohort) Zhao Guilong has won the Gold Award for Outstanding Contribution to 30-year Judicial Theoretical Research in the National Judicial Academic Symposium in 2019, and was awarded the Second Prize of the 31st Academic Symposium of the National Court System in 2020. In 2019, Zhao was promoted to Vice President of Jining Intermediate People's Court of Shandong Province. As early as 2011, he was awarded the title of "National Judicial Expert" by the Supreme People's Court. Now he has also won the Gold Award for Outstanding Contribution to Judicial Theoretical Research in the National Judicial Academic Symposium, which affirms his rigorous scholarship spirit and outstanding professional achievements for decades.
- Judge Chen Qing Rui (JSD 2017 cohort)
Judge Chen Qing Rui has recently been selected as one of the ‘Top 10 Legal Persons’ in 2019 Hebei’s three ‘Top 10s’ programmes for rule by law (‘Top 10 Legal Persons’, ‘Top 10 Legal Events’, and ‘Top 10 Legal Contributions’). As a member of the Judicial Committee of Higher People’s Court of Hebei Province and the Head of the Second Criminal Law Division, he was awarded the title of ‘National Expert Judge’ in April 2018. He has been selected as one of Hebei’s 2019 ‘Top Ten Legal Persons’. Moreover, a judgment he wrote in 2019 (in regards to a verdict of not guilty of fraud) was awarded as one of the Top 100 National Excellent Judgments. These achievements affirm Chen as a legal professional who maintains fairness in handling legal cases and endeavours in promoting judicial reform.
- Judge Zhao Jun Ping (LLM 2008 cohort)
Judge Zhao Jun Ping has recently been selected as one of Inner Mongolia’s ‘Top 10 Legal Persons’ in 2019. As Judicial Committee Member and Head of the First Court of Civil Trial of the Intermediate People's Court of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, being selected as one of Inner Mongolia’s 2019 ‘Top Ten Legal Persons’ affirms Zhao as a legal professional.
- Judge Wang Xiao Li (LLM 2012 cohort)
Judge Wang Xiaoli won the title of "National Model for Self-reliance" and became the first female judge’ to receive this honor in China. Judge Wang is the head of the No.3 Civil Court and a member of the court’s judicial committee in the Intermediate People's Court of Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province. Upon graduation, Judge Wang has won the titles of “National Model for Self-Reliance” and “National Model Judge”. One civil judgment she has written has also been chosen as the Top 100 National Excellent Judgments. In handling Chen's personal injury compensation dispute, she took a different approach and broke the tradition, accurately identified the focus of the conflict and dispute, and conducted conciliation between the two parties. It was awarded as "Top Ten Typical Cases of Jiangsu Courts in Protecting the Legal Rights and Interests of Disabled People" in 2018 because of its important guidance value and good effect.
- Judge LI Yi (LLM 2013 Cohort, JSD 2017 Cohort)
Judge LI Yi was given a special award by the PRC Supreme People’s Court in 2017 for his marvelous contribution in planning and creation of the large-scale TV drama, Court under the Sun, which is produced by the Media Center of the PRC Supreme People’s Court, among many other honors. This masterpiece focuses on the theme of Rule of Law, reveals the beauty of nomocracy and the kindness of humanity in China. Moreover, it outlines the blueprints of the era of “comprehensively deepening reform, comprehensively advancing the rule of law”. Court under the Sun was rated as “The Key Project of Excellent TV Drama” and “A Hundred Key TV Drama” by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television. Meanwhile, this drama was selected as one of the 70 outstanding films and television. It works on political and legal theme in the 70 years since the founding of PRC. The Central Broadcasting Station chose to broadcast it on CCTV-1 in prime time, calling it a significant work in current Chinese TV drama production. LI was promoted as a member of the Central Committee of the China Democratic National Construction Association in December 2019, and as a member of the Legislative Affairs Committee of the Shandong Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association. LI’s political address, On the Establishment of the Fund for Infringement of Ecological and Environmental Pollution in China, was read and commented by member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice-premier of the State Council, and was then implemented across the country. Besides, more than a hundred proposals by LI were adopted by Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, National People’s Congress, United Front Work Department, the Central Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association, the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, etc.

- 張國鋒法官(第二屆中國法官法學博士生)
香港城市大學法律學院第二屆中國法官法學博士生張國鋒由安徽省高級人民法院審判委員會委員調任安徽省公安廳副廳長，表明我們的畢業生可以在不同的工作領域中利用其法律知識。
- 郭凌川法官(第二屆中國法官法學博士生)
香港城市大學法律學院第二屆中國法官法學博士生郭凌川參與了 2019 年遼寧省法院組織的全省三級法院庭審直播“百日競賽”活動，在全省行政（賠償）部類法官庭審直播場次個人排名中位列第三名，是令人鼓舞的結果。
- 趙貴龍法官(第四屆中國法官法學博士生)
香港城市大學法律學院第四屆中國法官法學博士生趙貴龍 2019 年 6 月榮獲全國法院學術討論會三十年司法理論研究突出貢獻金獎、2020 年 1 月榮獲全國法院系統第三十一屆學術討論會二等獎。趙貴龍於 2019 年 12 月晉升山東省濟寧市中級人民法院副院長。他早於 2011 年 11 月獲最高人民法院授予「全國審判業務專家」稱號。現更榮獲突出貢獻金獎，肯定了他幾十年如一日的嚴謹治學精神和突出專業成就。
- 陳慶瑞法官(第五屆中國法官法學博士生)
香港城市大學法律學院第五屆中國法官法學博士生陳慶瑞登封 2019 河北 “法治三個十”(十大法治人物、十大法治事件、十大法治成果) 十大法治人物。陳慶瑞是河北省高級人民法院審委會委員及刑事審判第二庭庭長。他早於 2018 年 4 月獲最高人民法院授予「全國審判業務專家」稱號。現更登封 2019 河北 “法治三個十”十大法治人物，為「公正司法辦案推動司法改革的審判專家」。此外，陳慶瑞 2019 年辦理的張某合同詐騙無罪案判決書被評選為第二屆全國法院“百篇優秀裁判文書"，肯定了他的專業和成就。

- 趙俊平法官(第一屆法官法學碩士生)
香港城市大學法律學院第一屆法官法學碩士生趙俊平登封 2019 內蒙古十大法律人物。趙俊平是內蒙古自治區呼和浩特市中級人民法院審判委員會委員及民一庭庭長。他現登封 2019 內蒙古十大法律人物，肯定了他的專業和成就。
- 王小莉法官 (第五屆法官法學碩士生)
香港城市大學法律學院第五屆法官法學碩士生王小莉榮獲“全國自強模範”稱號，成為全國首位獲此榮譽的女法官。王小莉是江蘇省泰州市中級人民法院審委會委員、民三庭庭長。王小莉畢業後先後榮獲「全國自強模範」、「全國模範法官」等榮譽，撰寫的民事判決書入選全國法院首屆「百篇優秀裁判文書」。在辦理陳某人身損害賠償糾紛一案中，她另闢蹊徑、突破傳統，對矛盾爭議焦點進行了準確認定，並積極協調雙方。因其重要的裁判指引價值和良好的裁判處理效果獲評 2018 年度「江蘇法院維護殘疾人合法權益十大典型案例」。

- 李翊法官 (第六屆法官法學碩士生及第五屆中國法官法學博士生)
香港城市大學法律學院第六屆法官法學碩士生及第五屆中國法官法學博士生李翊，策劃創作最高人民法院影像中心聯合中央電視臺出品大型電視劇《陽光下的法庭》獲得最高人民法院特別嘉獎。該法治可行影視鉅作展示了中國法治之美和人性之善，勾畫了“全面依法治國，全面深化改革”的時代畫卷，該劇被國家新聞出版廣電總局製定為“ 2017 年度電視劇精品發展重點項目” ，國家新聞出版廣電總局百部重點電視劇。該劇被選為 70 年 70 部優秀政法改革影視作品之一，中央廣播電視總臺在黃金時間推出，稱其是一部在當下中國電視劇創作中的重要作品。他於 2019 年 12 月榮升中國民主建國會中央委員會青工委員，兼併中國民主建國會山東委員會法制委委員之職。撰稿《建議建立中國生態環境污染基金組織製度》參政咨文被中央政治局常委，副總理親筆批示，並在全國推廣實施，超過百餘份逐步分開分別被全國政協，全國大大，中央統戰部，民建中央，山東省政協等機構所採取。
