CityU hosted a conference on “Cyber Security: Internet of Things or Internet of Threats?”
World-renowned experts on the intersection of law and cyber securityshared their knowledge and insights oninternet threatsand shed light on the potential influence of the internet of thingson the future of the legal industry at a conference conducted by the School of Law, City University of Hong Kong (CityU) on 29August2019. The conference,entitled “Cyber Security: Internet ofThings or Internet of Threats?”,was co-organized by the School of Law, CityU and CityU Law Review, a student-edited, peer-reviewed academic law journal published by the CityU Law School. The objective of this conference was to raise scholars’ and students’ awareness of LegalTech issues and to encourage them to submitpapers regarding cyber securityto the CityU Law Review to publish.
The conference ended with the closing remarks of Dr HE who thanked all the conference speakers for their contributions to the conference. He also encouraged the speakers and participants to submit papers to CityU Law Review. The conference was fruitful and thought-provoking, and the atmosphere throughout the whole conference was interactive. The insightful views of all the speakers who are the experts in the field of law and cyber security served as an important foundation for further research on internet issues.
香港城市大學(城大)法律學院於8月29日舉行會議,與世界著名法律科技專家分享他們對法律科技問題的見解,並就法律科技對未來法律行業的潛在影響發表意見。城大法律學院與《城大法律評論》合辦這場以“網絡安全:物聯網或威脅互聯網?”為題的會議。《城大法律評論》由城大法律學院出版,學生編輯並經同行評審的法律學術刊物。是次會議旨在提高學者和學生對法律科技問題的認識,鼓勵他們向《城大法律評論》提交相關研究論文,於今年年底發表。
會議由何天翔博士致辭總結。他感謝所有會議發言人對會議的貢獻。他亦鼓勵與會人員向《城大法律評論》投稿。是次會議富有成果,發人深思,整個會議的氣氛熱烈。法律科技專家在會上發表的深刻見解是日後進行進一步研究的重要基礎。
