Publications by Dr. Lauren Yu-Hsin Lin featured in an analysis and webinar by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS)
On 7 February 2023, the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a leading U.S. think tank on international relations, hosted a webinar featuring the work of Dr. Lauren Yu-Hsin Lin, which evaluates the influence of the Chinese party-state on Chinese companies and their ability to maintain autonomy. In conjunction with the webinar, CSIS also published a feature summarizing Dr. Lin’s work and its implications for U.S.-China relations and U.S. policy towards Chinese private firms. In particular, the first-hand firm-level data that Dr. Lin’s work provides is rarely available but crucial to global policymakers in formulating policies concerning national security, cross-border data transfer, and foreign investment.
