Spring Festival is returned, bringing CityU student residents with joy and luck during the semester! To celebrate Chinese New Year, the Student Residence Office has organised a series of activities for the Spring Festival, including Hanfu try-on, pitch pot game, paper-making, and Chinese calligraphy. Student residents immersed themselves in the traditional culture and festive vibes. The event encouraged social networking between student residents and gave non-local residents a true taste of local culture.
In January 2023, Professor Way KUO,
the then President of the University, and Professor Raymond CHAN,
the then Acting Vice-President (Student Affairs), joined the wonderful event, while Dr Wilson LAM,
Director of Student Residence, and other Residence Masters enjoyed a great time with the residents. During the grand finale, the astonishing luminous dragon dance, Professor Way KUO led the finishing touch of the dragon’s eye, bringing us the climax of the night and injecting vitality to this spring semester.
Over 700 residents with various nationalities and cultures participated in the event. Our Spring Festival not only allowed all residents to experience our long and precious Chinese culture but also united all of them at their second home, the CityU Student Residence.
