CityU Service Outreach Experience Programme Volunteering in Mongolia

The Service Outreach Experience Programme (SOEP), which has been suspended due to the pandemic over the past three years, finally set off again in May this year! Unlike the previous trips to Nepal, we have chosen Mongolia as the destination this year. With its invincible grasslands and beautiful scenery, we hope to bring students experiences more than just volunteering.
During the eight-day-seven-night itinerary, students successively visited an organic farm and school located near the capital Ulaanbaatar to carry out farming, painting and voluntary teaching activities. They also took turns in groups to prepare meals for everyone in the first two days. Another two days were spent on a long journey to visit nomadic families near the Little Gobi Desert and experience living in a Mongolian yurt. It is truly a valuable and unforgettable experience for the students living in modern cities!
