The Student Residence Office (SRO) invited two alumni, Trefer and Pluto to organise the Z-Challenger: Racing Simulator Competition on 18 May this year. This spectacular event not only captivated the residents but also actively engaged students from various faculties to immerse themselves in the world of e-sports. Participants had the opportunity to showcase their skills, explore their passion for racing, and foster a sense of healthy competition.
The car that propelled Pluto and Trefer to victory stood as the centrepiece of the event, with students eagerly lining up to take photos with the championship-winning cars. Drifting simulators also provided a safe and controlled environment for students to indulge in the thrilling world of virtual racing. Enthusiastic participants joined the Racing Simulator Competition to test their skills, push their limits, and experience the adrenaline rush of drifting firsthand. As part of the event's closing, Pluto and Trefer had the opportunity to receive valuable advice and support from Professor Ray CHEUNG Chak- chung,
Associate Provost (Digital Learning) and Residence Master of HSBC Prosperity Hall. The Z-Challenger event was well-received with more than 100 students participating and the overwhelming student participation illustrates the eagerness and enthusiasm of our residents towards electronic sports.
