
Five CityU young academics have been awarded the Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Hong Kong and Macau) by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) for 2023, three of which are from the College of Science. The recognition highlights outstanding research capabilities in their respective fields. Each awardee will receive a funding amount of RMB 2 million.

Since 2019, the Excellent Young Scientists Fund has supported male scientists under the age of 38 and female scientists under 40 in Hong Kong and Macau. 25 awards are granted in Hong Kong and Macau each year, empowering promising researchers to make significant contributions to their research fields.
