
This year, 5 students from the College of Science have been admitted into the Joint Bachelor’s Degree Programme with Columbia University.
YAO Heyuan, a student from Computing Mathematics shared with us, “I am really excited, delighted and honoured for being admitted to the programme and can enjoy my undergraduate studies in two charming and excellent universities. I look forward to the upcoming opportunities and challenges from a new environment. It will be an unforgettable experience in my life!”
QIU Siyuan, a student from Applied Physics added, “I can’t wait to meet with the most outstanding professors, operate the most advanced laboratorial instruments, and see how my academic competence can be improved at Columbia University.”
The College of Science has also established a new partnership with the University of Edinburgh to offer a Joint Bachelor’s Degree Programme for Computing Mathematics major students.
After going through the selection and interview process, 4 students were successfully admitted by University of Edinburgh. The first cohort of students will begin their studies in the UK in September 2021.
One of the admitted student, YAN Ruizi said, “I am very grateful to my parents, friends, and teachers, who gave me a lot of encouragement and instructions along the way. Taking this programme is new and challenging for me, but I will give it my best.”
