Research on Pharmaceutical Pollution in Rivers Named One of the Best Paper of PNAS

The research paper entitled “Pharmaceutical Pollution of the World’s Rivers” published in The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) in February 2022 has been awarded the 2022 Cozzarelli Prize in the Class VI: Applied Biological, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.
Congratulations to Professor Kenneth Leung, Associate Dean (Research and Postgraduate Education), College of Science, who is one of the co-authors of the paper, and John L. Wilkinson from the University of York is the corresponding author. So far, this paper has been cited over 270 times.
The annual Cozzarelli Prize acknowledges papers that reflect scientific excellence and originality and recognises the best paper in PNAS for six subject classes.
