Five CityU young academics have been awarded the Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Hong Kong and Macau) by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) for 2023, three of which are from the College of Science.
With the coordination of CityU’s Hong Kong Institute for Advanced Study, the College of Science hosted a special sharing session on 3 October 2023, featuring the distinguished scholar and Nobel Laureate in Physics Professor Serge Haroche.
After delivering online for three years owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the fifth Science Summer Camp was resumed face-to-face and successfully held on the CityU campus in Hong Kong on 10-15 July 2023.
The research paper entitled “Pharmaceutical Pollution of the World’s Rivers” published in The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) in February 2022 has been awarded the 2022 Cozzarelli Prize in the Class VI: Applied Biological, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.
Faculty members from the College of Science shone at the 48th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva (IEIG) held from 26 to 30 April. Our researchers garnered two Gold Medals with Congratulations of the Jury, as well as a Special Prize and four Gold Medals.
Dr. Denver Li and Dr. Junzhang Ma, Assistant Professors of the Department of Physics, have been awarded the Collaborative Research Equipment Grant, under the Collaborative Research Fund (CRF) 2022/23.
