To meet the market demand for science talents and nurture students who are interested in scientific research or starting business ventures that involve innovative technologies, the College of Science introduced the “Global Research Enrichment and Technopreneurship (GREAT)” undergraduate programme in 2021/2022. The Programme Leader and three current students were interviewed by MingPao earlier.

This year's CityU Information Day was successfully held on 22 October 2022 in hybrid mode, attracting more than 10,000 visitors on campus and even more joining online. The College of Science (CSCI) has prepared a series of activities, including online and on-campus talks on admission and development opportunities, as well as lab tours, with the participation of our faculty members, alumni and students.

In collaboration with Tseung Kwan O Government Secondary School (TKOGSS), 10 students from the College of Science served as ‘student teachers’ and gained hands-on teaching experience in a real classroom setting on 12 October 2022.

A Welcome Gathering for the second cohort of the Global Research Enrichment and Technopreneurship (GREAT) students was held on 15 September 2022.

Applying knowledge learnt in university to help the needy is meaningful. Mr. Alvin Wijaya, a fresh graduate of the Department of Mathematics achieved this and completed the CityU X Sino Grand Challenges Scholars Program (CityU X Sino GCSP) in May 2022 with Gold Award under the patronage of Sino Group.
