On 3 April, about 30 CSCI students and faculty members embarked on an enlightening day trip to Dongguan, immersing themselves in cutting-edge facilities, engaging with industry leaders, and exploring advanced research technologies.
To strengthen the bonding between undergraduate students, mentors and teachers, the College of Science (CSCI) organised a networking BBQ at Ma On Shan on 22 March 2025. Before having fun at the BBQ, the group were offered a tour of CityUHK’s brand-new Student Residence, Lee Shau Kee Student Residence Village at Whitehead.
College of Science (CSCI) joined hands with the College of Computing, College of Engineering, and School of Energy and Environment in organising the STEM Career Fair 2025, which emerged as the largest gathering of its kind at CityUHK.
The College of Science officially kicked-off the 2024-25 academic year Mentorship Programme on January 18, 2025. The ceremony brought together faculty members, mentors and mentees, creating a dynamic atmosphere of collaboration and support.
The College of Science (CSCI) again hosted a conversation with Professor Serge Haroche, the 2012 Nobel Laureate in Physics, on 22 November. Titled “Exploring Frontiers: A Conversation with Nobel Laureate in Physics”, the sharing has attracted almost 100 participants.
A group of 75 enthusiastic students and faculty members from the College of Science and College of Engineering embarked on an educational excursion to BIEL Crystal in Huizhou on 25 October 2024. This visit aimed to provide students with first-hand insight into the advanced technologies and manufacturing processes involved in the production of high-quality glass components widely used in smart digital and wearable devices, AR/VR glasses and automotive industry.
