
The large-scale capital campaign “United, We Soar” launched by City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) has received wide support from CityUHK members and the community. The fundraising target originally planned for 2023 has been completed 18 months ahead of schedule. More than HK$2.5 billion has been raised to support CityUHK’s pursuit of excellence for the benefit of society in four key areas, including strategic initiatives, education and research, student development, and campus development.

The first-ever inauguration ceremony for Named Chair Professorships at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) on 11 October honoured distinguished scholars for their outstanding achievements and paid tribute to our generous donors.

The Bright Future Engineering Talent Hub has been established at the College of Engineering at CityUHK thanks to a generous donation of HK$4 million from the Bright Future Charitable Foundation. CityUHK and secondary and primary schools plan to collaborate on nurturing engineering professionals through the 24-month STEM education programme to be offered by the Hub.

The first large-scale fundraising gala “One Night in Tang Paradise” in support of the Indra and Harry Banga Gallery at CityUHK was held on 26 November. The gala succeeded to raise HK$4 million, which will fund the Gallery’s long-term development and research, driving CityUHK’s continued efforts to engage the community and promote learning through exhibitions.
