SKLMP at CityUHK was awarded the “2024 Dayu Water Conservancy Science and Technology Progress Award (2nd Class)” by the Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society, for the project "Key Technologies and Applications for Enhancing Urban Seawall’s Defence Capability and Ecological Function in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area".

A high-level CityUHK delegation led by Mr Michael Ngai, Council Chairman, and Professor Freddy Boey, President and University Distinguished Professor, discussed multidisciplinary cooperation with prominent academic and administrative leaders at the University of Cambridge during their visit on 11 to 12 March.

An outstanding performance in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025 has again highlighted CityUHK's academic excellence on the international academic stage, with four subjects, including Social Policy and Administration, Linguistics, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and Communication and Media Studies being ranked in the global top 50.

CityUHK is leading a groundbreaking project to develop an innovative platform for early cancer detection and personalised treatment. Focusing on the enhanced detection of circulating tumor cells (CTCs), this initiative aims to improve cancer screening and monitoring.

In January, the CityUHK Alumni Lounge was officially opened, further highlighting the significant presence of our alumni in CityUHK.

A delegation from Suzhou visited CityUHK on 11 February to meet with CityUHK senior management. The two sides discussed and exchanged views on topics such as research results transfer, innovation and entrepreneurship, and talent cultivation, and explored opportunities for further cooperation.
